Monologue #1:
I tried Dad, I really tried. I watched all those movies with you but I can’t do it anymore! I can’t keep pretending. You’re old enough to know the truth, Dad. The truth is… I hate how Luke’s father is a bad guy and talks like he’s old and sick. I know you say the aliens are funny and that I’ll like them, but… I just think they’re weird!
Monologue #2:
No, I’m sorry Mrs Jones. I don’t eat that. I only eat hot dogs. You don’t have hot dogs? Oh… well maybe I should go home then. That’s all I eat. My little sister is worse. She only eats chicken noodle soup. She sticks her pigtails in her soup and sucks it out of her hair. It’s disgusting! Well, tell Lisa I’ll see her later. I’ve got to go home and have a few hot dogs.
Monologue #3:
Uh oh…uh oh…I’m sorry! I’m so...I’ll clean it up! Right now! I’ll—I didn’t do it on purpose. You know that, right? It was an accident! I was just running through—I know I’m not supposed to be running through the hall, but…Ginger was chasing that ball and I was trying to catch him…. I’m sorry. Okay? I’m cleaning it up, see? Ow! The glass cut me. I…I’m bleeding now…you’ll get me a band-aid, right? Right?
Monologue #4:
Ever since I can remember, I’ve had dreams about flying. I would launch myself off the ground with a little kick, and move my arms, pushing myself through the air. Sometimes the dreams are so real, I tell myself it’s not a dream. That I’m really flying. That this time it finally came true and I have the ability to do what I’d only dreamt of doing. Of course, then I wake up and I can’t fly. It’s such a wonderful thing at the time, flying like that.
