Dancers and Performers come in all shapes and sizes and every body is beautiful. Here at Revive we never want a dress code to prevent someone from taking class.
We've listed recommendations for what to wear to each class. The dance shoes listed are required for the safety of the dancers. We encourage you to take time to find dance apparel or athletic wear that fits your budget, and makes your performer feel comfortable and confident. *Form fitting athletic wear like leggings, joggers, bike shorts, shirts, tank tops, etc, are a good alternative for boys, or dancers who don't feel comfortable in the recommended leotard and tights.
Below are some recommendations of where to buy dance/athletic apparel and shoes for class.
Broadway Babies: Black Tap shoes are required. Leotards, ballet skirts or tutus, and pink tights are highly recommended. Velcro tap shoes are recommended.
Fairy Tale Ballet: Pink Ballet shoes are required. Leotards, ballet skirts or tutus, and pink tights are highly recommended. For boys, black ballet shoes are required.
All other ballet classes: Skin Colored Ballet shoes are required. Leotards, ballet skirts, and skin colored tights are highly recommended.
Ballet/Lyrical Combo: Skin Colored Ballet shoes are required. Leotards, ballet skirts or athletic shorts/pants, and skin colored tights are highly recommended.
Jazz/Tap Combo: Black Jazz shoes and black tap shoes are required. Leotards, athletic shorts/pants, and skin colored tights are highly recommended. We recommended wearing socks with tap shoes while breaking them in.
Jazz 1&2: Skin Colored Jazz shoes are required. Leotards, athletic shorts/pants, and skin colored tights are highly recommended.
Musical Theatre Combo: Black jazz shoes are required. Leotards, athletic shorts/pants, and skin colored tights are highly recommended. No jeans or sneakers/street shoes.
Acting: Black or Tan Jazz shoes are required. Comfortable clothes that you can squat, stretch, reach high & low, are recommended (athletic shorts/pants, t-shirts/tank tops). Wear clothes that will help you focus on your acting instead of worrying about your outfit.
Group Voice Lessons: Comfortable clothes that you can squat, stretch, reach high & low, are recommended. Wear clothes that will help you focus on your singing instead of worrying about your outfit.
